Walter Irvan Honnold


Walter Irvan Honnold, age 76 of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Forest Glen Health Campus. He was born June 27, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio the son of the late Lloyd & Margaret (Fandrey) Honnold.

He was a retired employee of Elliott Co. with 27 years of service , he was a member of the First Christian Church, Springfield and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Suzanne (Crabtree) Honnold, his son John Honnold and wife Barb of Springfield, his daughter Karen Boggs and husband Mike of Mechanicsburg, 5 grandchildren, Joe Holloway and wife Angie, Shannan Hill, Keith Hill and wife Mandy, Kristen & Josh Boggs.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Jones - Kenney Zechman Funeral Home. Pastor Craig Grammer officiating. Burial South Solon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
