Winona M. Harris


Winona M. Harris, passed away Thursday morning November 20, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medial Center High Street Campus. She was born March 31, 1926 in Springfield, OH to Rupert and Elizabeth Borchers.

She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Harris, who passed away in 1972.

She is survived by her six children, Kathleen Harris of Oakland, CA, Elizabeth "Betsy" Horn of Kettering OH, John Harris of Bayshore, NY, Theresa Harris of Oakland CA, Margaret "Peggy" Greene of Phoenixville, PA and James Harris of Chester Springs, PA; sister, Mary Clark of Tempe, AZ; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Winona was a long time employee of Credit Life Insurance Company and for a time was an avid square dancer. She has been active in St Teresa Parish and in Shepherds of Christ.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in St. Teresa Church. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the mass. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Conroy Funeral Home.
