Wanda O. Happel


Wanda O. Happel, 93, a long time resident of Crystal Lakes passed away Thursday January 10, 2008 in her home.

She was born August 24, 1914 in Greenville, Ohio the daughter of the late Rolla & Alice (Hartzell) Arnold.

Mrs. Happel was a 4-H Club leader for 10 years and organized a local Youth Group (Subteens) during the 1950's. She loved to knit and care for her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie of Crystal Lakes; a son, Larry (Lois) of Huntsville, Alabama; granddaughter, Laura of Omaha, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; two sisters, Alice Roberts and Ethel Bielfeld and four brothers, Forest Arnold, William Arnold, Edward Arnold and Boyd Hartzell.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday January 14, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Visitation will be 10 to 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
