Theodore R. Hooten


Theodore R. Hooten, 86, of Springfield, died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday July 11, 2007 in Dayton, OH.

He was born September 16, 1920 in Jamestown, TN to Edward W. and Inez (Davis) Hooten. Ted retired in 1983 from D & H Manufacturing after 34 years of service. He is survived by 4 children and spouses, Howard G. Hooten, Springfield, L. David and Carol Hooten, South Vienna, OH, Thomas R. and Barbara Hooten, Mechanicsburg, OH and Sharon R. and Glendon Shoemaker, St. Paris, OH; 24 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Ledbetter, Muncie, IN; numerous nieces and nephews and his special friend, Doris Kennedy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy R. in 2003. No services will be held. Burial will be in New Comers Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or American Cancer Society.
