Roy Hixson


Roy Hixson, 90, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Sunday August 3, 2008.

He was born August 7, 1917 in Highland, Ohio, the son of the late Clay & Blanche Hixson.

He was a member of the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren. He was a retired carpenter and craftsman, and helped restore the Clifton Opera House where he attended regularly.

He is survived by a son, Roger & Sharon Hixson of Columbus, Ohio; other family, many friends, and special neighbors, Larry Cotterman and family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Maude B. Hixson; a sister, Alice Wright; and longtime good friend, Daniel Deaton.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday August 7, 2008 in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
