Raymond E. Hayes
Raymond E. Hayes, age 80, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the Springfield Manor. Raymond was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio to the late Truman and Marie DeWitt Hayes.
He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Raymond was employed as a shipping clerk with the Champion Company with over 25 years of service. He was an avid bowler; participated on the church softball team and attended the Cincinnati Reds games. He was also a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Raymond's survivors include; siblings Mary C. (Roy) Clark, Norma L. Hayes, Richard A. "Dick" (Nancy) Hayes, Ernest E. "Gene" Hayes all of Springfield; nieces and nephews Vicki (Danny) Huffer of Kempton, IN., Michael (Jane) Palmer of Malta, OH., Jeffrey Palmer of Frankford, IN., Dianna (Rodney) Cox, and Eric Hayes both of Springfield, five great-nephews two great-nieces, two great-great-nephews and one great-great-niece.
Friends may call from 5 to 7pm Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME N. Limestone. Funeral service to be held 11:00AM Thursday at the Blessed Hope Baptist Church 315 S. Kensington Place, Rev. Steve Thacker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
