Richard L. Hardnick


Richard L. Hardnick, 79, of Springfield, departed this life on Friday, December 28, 2007 in Southbrook Care Center.

He was born August 5, 1928 in Springfield, Ohio a son of Elwood and Lillian (Hamilton) Hardnick.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army and was a retired employee of W.P.A.F.B. Mr. Hardnick attended Greater Grace Temple.

He leaves to chersih his memory his wife, Wanda K. Hardnick, his children, Carla J. Sims, Kevin Hardnick, Felicia and Kim Higginbotham, Ebony Darden, Gary and Richard Flemming, a two brothers, Felix Hardnick of Cleveland and Melvin Hardnick of Springfield; a sister, Ester Randolph of Cleveland, a sister-in-law, Kim Miller, a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, including a special nephew Felton Davenport, cousins and special friends, June Portis, Linda Stephens, Tommy Morris and Bruce Taylor.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Mr. Hardnick will be Friday from 5:00PM to 6:00PM in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 6:00PM Friday in the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Williams officiating. Burial will be Saturday in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family wil receive friends at 502 E. Rose Street. Funeral arrangements are by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
