Patti L. Householder


Patti L. Householder, 71, of Springfield passed away Sunday evening, November 23, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center-East High Campus with her beloved family by her side. She was born September 17, 1937, the daughter of Robert and Pearl Vermillion.

She retired from Navistar with over 30 years of service. Patti was a life long member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church, an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving and caring husband of 36 years, Charles E. Householder; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Pammy and Anthony Thomas of Springfield, Kelly Sowards of Springfield, Brenda and Mark Burson of Urbana and Paula and David Collingsworth of Urbana; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Vermillion of Urbana and Bill and Cheryl Vermillion of Indian Lake; seven grandchildren and spouses, Yantia (Stephen) Wiseman, Jason (Jessica) Sowards, Brittany (Clint) Castle, Paul Thomas, Cheyanne Burson, Amber Collingsworth and Tiffany Sowards; five great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kaylee, Jacob McDargh, Avari Castle and Daniel Wiseman and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bob Vermillion.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the St. Mark United Methodist Church, 2043 Memorial Drive, Springfield, Ohio 45505 with Pastor David W. Yingling officiating. Entombment will follow in the Rose Hill Mausoleum.
