Paris James Harper, Sr.
Paris James "Curly" Harper, Sr. 65, of Springfield died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Ironton, Ohio on August 22, 1943, the son of Henry and Louada (Burchfield) Harper.
Curly retired from the Nolte Brass Foundry as a machinist. He was a member of the Union and Machinists Clubs, AMVETS Post 25, and the Moose Lodge. His hobbies included playing pool, cards, and working on appliances.
Curly was preceded in death by his parents; son P.J. Harper, Jr.; brothers Willard and Clarence Jr. Harper and Wayne Ferguson.
He has left to cherish his memories: his wife Teresa (Williams) Harper; seven daughters Sheena Harper-Brown, Judy Amburgey, Vickie Harper, Denise (Rodger) Tobias, and Angel Harper all of Springfield, Lenny Harper of Jackson and Lisa Comer of Troy; two sons James Paris and Jody Harper both of Springfield; one sister Vera Runyan of Springfield; one brother George Hiram (Dorothy) Harper of Altoona, PA; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 2:00 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Family and friends may call two hours prior to services. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
