Nellie M. Haffner


Nellie M. (Crippen) Haffner, of South Charleston, passed away February 13, 2009 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. Nellie was born February 11, 1923 in Stewart, Ohio to the late Zenas and Inez Crippen.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Daniel J. Haffner, brothers and sisters; Walter Crippen, Mamie Bond, Harry Crippen, Lennie Barnhart, Erma Mayle, Winnie McGill, Carrie Barker, and Zenas(Junior)Crippen.

Nellie is survived by her children; Paul (Beverly Sue) Haffner of Mechanicsburg, Peggy (Lou) Craig of Urbana, Margie Wright of South Charleston, John (Cindy) Haffner of Langsville, Ohio, Robert Haffner of Montana, Sue (Doug) Stevens of Springfield, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Family to receive friends Monday, February 16, 2009 from 5 to 8pm in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME 2425 N. Limestone; where funeral service will be held 1:30pm Tuesday. Burial will follow in the South Vienna Cemetery.
