Melvin D. Huff


Melvin D. Huff, 69, of Springfield, died Monday October 1, 2007 in Community Hospital.

He was born September 6, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Charles and Mildred (Moore) Huff.

He served his country in the United States Army. He retired from International Harvester (Navistar) after thirty years of service. Melvin was a member of United Auto Workers Local 402 and the Union Club.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon (Rinehart) Huff of twenty-one years; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Cora Rinehart; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Dorothy Huff, Robert and Sue Huff; two granddaughters, Marita and Emma Rinehart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2007 in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
