Marilyn L. Hatchett


Marilyn L. Hatchett, 77, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

She was born August 13, 1930 in Canton, Ohio a daughter of Eddie and Jeanette (Stokes)McIntyre.

Mrs. Hatchett was retired employee of WIC and was a devoted member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church of God In Christ. She was active in several church organizations including the Prayer and Bible Band and she served as its secretary.

Mrs. Hatchett leaves to cherish her memory a daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Pastor Dwight Brandon of Springfield, Ohio; three sons, James E. Hatchett, Jr. and Darrel L. Hatchett both of Canton, Ohio and John D. Hatchett of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Corene Hookfin of Springfield, Ohio; three brothers, James McIntyre, Eddie R. McIntyre, Jr. and John W. McIntyre all of Canton, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hatchett and a son, Leonard C. Hatchett.

Visitation for Mrs. Hatchett will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon in the Gospel Tabernacle Church of God In Christ. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday in the church with Elder Cornelious Hookfin officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hil Burial Park.
