Martha Elizabeth Bird Harrison


Martha Elizabeth Bird Harrison, 99, of New Carlisle, Ohio died Thursday, January 26th, 2012 at Belle Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 25th, 1912 in Medway, Ohio, the daughter of the late John F & Sarah Eliza (Thompson) Bird.

She retired from WPAFB in 1973 and was a member of the Medway United Methodist Church, Elderly United, Animal Welfare League, and Medway Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orville; their son, Paul R.; brother, Paul J;, sister, Leah Moore, and an infant sister, Marjorie.

Her survivors are her daughter-in-law, Carol (Harrison) & David Benoy of Medway; nephew, Robert & June Laybourne of Enon; step-son, Stephen & Theresa Ford; several devoted cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday January 30th, 2012 at the Chapel of Peace at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements were by TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio.

Martha's family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff at Belle Manor Nursing Home for over seven years of loving care.
