Leonard D. Hatton


Leonard D. Hatton, 60, of New Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly Monday January 26, 2009. He was born January 22, 1949 in Clay County, Kentucky the son of the late Leonard & Ollie (Borders) Hatton.

Leonard was a professional truck driver for many years. He was a member of AMVETS Dayton.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy; children, David & Daphne Smith of San Antonio, Texas, Donnie & Sue Hatton of Miamisburg, Ohio, twin girls, Erika Hatton of Miamisburg, Renae & Joe Smelko of West Carrolton, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; mother-in-law, Bessie R. Elkins; a sister, Diana Wandell of Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cheyenne; sisters, Evelyn Holt, Emma Nixon & Brenda Rogers.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday February 1, 2009 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral service at 5 p.m. with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
