Lucille R. Habel
Lucille R. Habel, 91, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Eaglewood Village Care Center. She was born on February 23 1917, in Springfield Ohio, to George and Grace (Hinkle) Rider.
Lucille was married to her husband, John J. Habel on November 25, 1937, until his passing in November 2007. She was a retiree of Siemans Corporation, Urbana, Ohio, and enjoyed traveling, square dancing, a good game of cards, and visiting with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son John and daughter-in-law Doris, of Dayton, son Phillip and daughter-in-law Nancy of Marietta, daughter Kimberly and son-in-law Michael Dilts of Springfield; six grandchildren Steven, Barbara, Amanda, Megan, Christopher, and Ryan; five great-grandchildren Shelby, Collin, Jacob, Taylor, and Ian; nieces Susan Humphrey of Springfield, Frances Galloway of Ogden, Utah, and Mary Lou Margherio of Metropolis, Illinois.
Her parents, husband, sisters Jesse Smith, and Dorothy Farrell and brothers Arnold, Van, and Earl Rider preceded her in death.
A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in Ferncliff Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Richard Johnson officiating. Interment in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
