Kathleen A. Hogan


Kathleen A. Hogan, 82, of Springfield, died at 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in Forest Glen. She was born April 7, 1926 in Springfield the daughter of Thomas A. and Mary (Hauck) Hogan.

She had worked as a school nurse for JVS for 21 years retiring in 1988 and was a 1944 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a 1947 graduate of the Springfield City Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.

Survivors include her special friends, Patty Butz, Vickie Crable and Joe & Heidi Kelly.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita M. Hogan and Mary Shay, brother-in-law James T. Shay and a niece Laura Shay.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in St. Bernard Catholic Church. Friends may call one-hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard Church or Hospice of Dayton.
