James T. Hynes


James T. Hynes, 66, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007 in his residence.

He was born April 28, 1941 in Springfield, the son of James P. and Loretta Marie (Malatte) Hynes.

Mr. Hynes was a member of the Eagles, Union Club, Moose and Elks. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired from International Harvester following 39½ years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Virginia May (Day) Hynes, three children: Rod Nicholl, Bellefontaine, Alice S. (Denver D.) Douglas and Sharon Steiger all of Springfield, ten grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one sister Patricia Marie Hynes and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private funeral services will be held with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
