Jeanne Humphrey


Jeanne Humphrey, 81, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

She was born December 5, 1925 in Springfield, the daughter of Pearl and Ruth Hunter. Jeanne was an upholsterer for 35 years for McGraws in South Vienna.

She leaves to cherish her memory six children: Trudy ( Richard) Brackney, Maurice Humphrey, Mark Humphrey, Trena Hobbs, Treva Humphrey, Tonda (Brent) Desentz, nine grandchildren: Scott Hannebaum, Lynne Blankenship, Ryan Humphrey, Dustin Humphrey, Jason Humphrey, Krista Hobbs, Danielle Hobbs, Brooke Humphrey, and Derek Desentz, five great grandchildren: Haleigh Williams, Taylor Blankenship, Gunner Blankenship, Wesley Hannebaum and Skyler Hannebaum, several nieces and nephews and friends Norm and Doris Thompson, Gloria Finch, Kyle and Shirley McGraw and Rosie Ricketts.

She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Humphrey, her parents, a brother Warren Hunter and sisters Ruby McDowell and Betty Edmiston.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Ray Sharpes officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 AM until the time of the services in the chapel. Entombment will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Arrangements are bring handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
