Iris Rose Helton


Iris Rose Helton, formerly Mullins, died peacefully on April 6, 2009 of Alzheimer's Disease. She was 73, born in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.

A graduate of Eastern Kentucky State College, now Eastern Kentucky University, she was an elementary school teacher in the Northridge School District in Dayton, Ohio for 31 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby E. Helton, her parents and nine of her siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Helton Siegler and Susan Diann Letner; siblings Roland Mullins and Eula Wells, six beloved grandchildren, a large and loving extended family and many friends.

A gathering of her family and friends will be held 10:00-12 noon Saturday, April 11, 2009 at TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, in New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services 12:00 noon. .
