Helen L. Henderson


Helen L. Henderson, age 89 went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Mercy Medical Center.

She was born August 26, 1918 in Pike Township, Ohio to the Estford and Clara Davidson.

She attended North Hampton grade and high schools and graduated in 1936. After graduation she attended the Springfield Business College and obtained a degree in Secretarial Training. She was employed as a personal secretary for many years. Helen has been a long standing devoted member of the High Street United Methodist Church where she used her secretarial talents to volunteer in the church office for many years. In 1949 she and her late husband, of 24 years, John Henderson, were married in the church.

Helen is also preceded in death by her son Paul Henderson, and brother Lester Davidson.

Helen is survived by her son Bruce (Connie) Henderson of Cincinnati, OH., grandchildren; Lauren, Sean, Keith, and Todd Henderson, Brock (Jessica) Henderson, Lindsey (Seth) Lewis, two great-grandchildren, sister Mildred Davidson, nieces and nephews; Larry, Linda, Nancy, Bonnie, Ivan, Marie, Wayne and Randall.

Family to receive friends 10:00am to 12noon, Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME 2425 N. Limestone St.; where funeral service will be held at 12noon Saturday with Rev. C.E. Pellett officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
