Elizabeth Huffenberger


E. Elizabeth Huffenberger, 99, of Selma, died Monday, March 31, 2008 at her home of 58 years.

She was born February 24, 1909 in Springfield, the youngest of 7 children to Lela (Fenton) and Frank Hillard. She attended Springfield City Schools and was preceded in death by her siblings; Dorothy Leffew, Bessie Hern, Frances Komar, Helen Robbins, Clarence McLellan an d Mable Jackson-Gardner, her husband Marshall Huffenberger and her daughter Anita Taylor.

She is survived by a sister in law, Angie McLellan of Springfield, four daughters; Edith (Brooks) Breidenthal of Hamilton, Ohio, Lila Lee ( Carl) Acton of Seymour, Indiana, Marcella White of Marysville and Vikki ( David) Bauer of Selma, grand sons; David White of Springfield, Robert Marshall White of Marysville, Aaron Taylor of Newport, Kentucky and Chance Bauer of Springfield, grand daughters; Cathy (Acton) Schafstall, Brenda (Acton) James and Edie ( Acton) Otte all of Seymour, Indiana, Debbie (White) Taylor of Tennessee and Cindy (Breidenthal) Mattingly of Solon, 18 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5 until 8 PM in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday in the funeral home with Jerry Robbins, nephew of the deceased, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
