Emily May Hollingworth
Emily May (Buth) Hollingworth, 87, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2008 in her residence at the Masonic Home.
She was born on September 10, 1920 in Faribault, Minnesota, the daughter of Gregor Herman and Hazel Annie (Headline) Buth.
She was an avid Audubon Society member and received a plaque for over 700 North American bird sightings. Emily was a member of the "Red Hat" Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, William C. Hollingworth of California and Bruce A. and Cherilyn Hollingworth of California; two grandchildren, Jared and Amanda, several cousins, and special friends: Donald and Joanne Oldiges of Bellbrook, and Jon and Linda Blosser of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George K. Hollingworth, and one brother.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Rocky Point Chapel, 3928 Old Mill Rd., Springfield, OH 45502. The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. The family has requested that no flowers would be sent and memorial contributions would be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 1343 N. Fountain Ave., Springfield, OH 45504.
