Daisy Heironimus


Daisy Heironimus, 99, passed away on August 30, 2007 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born January 2, 1908, daughter of Charles Edward and Martha Ellen (Bazzle) Gideon.

Daisy graduated in the first mid-year class of Springfield High School on January 28, 1926. She attended the Springfield Business College for 6 months. She worked at Crowell-Collier in the correspondence department from 1927-1933. She then worked (retired from) Mercy Hospital as a medical secretary from January 1953- January 1977.

Daisy Joined the Art Circle in 1948 and was the secretary from 1966-1984. She also joined the Dawn to Dusk Garden Club in 1972. She was a member of the Central Christian Church since the age of 9.

Daisy is preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her parents, and 4 brothers, Frank, Louis, Herbert, and Russell. Survivors include her sons, Dale Edward (Lily) Heironimus, and Kenneth Forrest (Winnie) Heironimus; Grandchildren, Stephen Eric (Lenore) Heironimus, Gary Todd Heironimus, Jill Ann (Doug) Burbeck, Robert Dean (Pam) Heironimus, and Angela Jean (Stefan) Wegrzyn; great grandchildren, Nathan (Heather) Heironimus, Aaron (Fiancé- Stephanie) Heironimus, Casey Burbeck, Leah Nicole Heironimus, Britny Michelle Heironimus, and Chelsey Leighann Harris.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Springfield, with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Dan Reihing officiating. Interment following at Glen Haven Cemetery.
