Della Jane Hayes


Della Jane Hayes, 69, of Springfield died Saturday, March 7, 2009 in her home following four months illness. She was born April 4, 1939 in Springfield the daughter of George and Georgia (Knisley) Wise.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years David L. Hayes, Sr.; three daughters and two sons-in-law Terri and Matthew Ware of Lake Mary, Florida, Joyce Lavarnia, and Michelle and Aaron Walker all of Springfield; three sons and two daughters-in-law David L., Jr. and Tracy Hayes of Havlock, North Carolina, Timothy Hayes, and Darrell and Ann Hayes all of Springfield; one brother Frank Wise and one sister Anna Todd both of Springfield; fourteen grandchildren Scott and R.J. Ware, Bailey, Jeremy, Christian, Kira, Nathan, Ashley, Bryant, Renee, James and Aleah Hayes, Natalie and Rebecca Walker; two great grandchildren Craig Sherrock and Zarian Hayes; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend Wayne Skaggs.

Della was preceded in death by two sisters Marjorie Metzger and Nellie Evans; two brothers Joe and Charles Wise; and a granddaughter Alyssa Walker.

Friends may call Monday from 5-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Pastor Ed Dungan officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Hayes name to Community/Mercy Hospice. .
