Cathleen M. Hines


Cathleen M. "Kay" Hines, 95, of Tremont City died Saturday, March 22, 2008 in Eaglewood Care Center.

She was born July 13, 1912 in Frankfort, Ohio the daughter of Otto and Meda (Mash) Hanby.

Mrs. Hines retired from Kroger's with thirty-five years service and was the owner of "The Mud Hut" ceramic studio in Tremont City for ten years. She was a member of Bowlusville United Methodist Church.

Kay is survived by her husband of seventy-three years Herman R. Hines to whom she was married April 13, 1934. Also surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law Phyllis Burgel of Tremont City, Jerri and Charles Mason of Springfield; son-in-law Phillip (Chris) Burgel of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren and spouses Mont and Robin Burgel of Springfield, Todd and Julie Burgel of Richmond, Kentucky, Paula and Doug Hardy of South Vienna, Heidi Pyle of Tremont City, Perry and Sharon Mason of Cincinnati, Marty and Theresa Mason of Roswell, Georgia and Elaine Kuntz of Springfield; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three nieces Patty Leist, Beverly Downie and Pam Senn.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law Joanne and William Wren; a brother David Hanby; a sister Pauline Junkins and a great grandson Phillip Burgel.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 AM-12 Noon in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 Noon in the Memorial Home with Rev. Stephen Beck and Rev. Dene Anstine officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Bowlusville United Methodist Church.
