Cleora P. Hall

Cleora P. Hall, 83, of Springfield, died Sunday morning, August 26, 2007 in Community Hospital.

She was born in Findlay, Ohio on September 30, 1923 the daughter of Henry Louis and Rosetta Roeder.

Cleora is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Karen Hall of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Ron and Rita Hall of Bellefontaine; two sisters, Ethel Breneman of North Port, Florida and Dorothy Barber of Leesburg, Virginia; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Brad and Andrea Hall of Colorado Springs and Shawn Burkepile and Sarah Hall of Bellefontaine; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Marjorie Roeder; and husband, Donald Hall.

After a brief career with the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. prior to starting a family, Cleora remained a homemaker throughout her life. Being a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many was her calling in life, and no one has ever succeeded more in that endeavor. After her husband passed away in 1985, she became very active in assisting others throughout the community; this included many hours of volunteering at her church, Emery Chapel United Methodist, as well as helping her many friends and acquaintances at The Masonic Home and St. John's Center in Springfield.

When not helping others, Cleora's time at home was spent in her yard and gardens, reading, solving puzzles, and rooting on her favorite teams, players, and performers in the world of sports. The Reds, Buckeyes, college basketball, PGA, tennis, and ice skating have all lost a big fan! From us, your family and friends, we will forever miss the love, support, and companionship you provided to us all.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor William Kelley officiating.

Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Richwood, Ohio.

Following the committal service, a reception will be held at 5:00 p.m. in Emery Chapel United Methodist Church.
