Ann Horn


Ann Horn, 90, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009 in the Southbrook Care Center. She was born in Dayton the daughter of Lawrence Frederick and Lillian A. (Heim) Braner.

Ann graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and attended the Dayton Art Institute. She was an accomplished pianist and taught lessons for many years. Ann also was an artist and enjoyed painting portraits. She loved animals and owned and operated the Tecumseh Pet Cemetery and the "Cozy Cat" Motel.

She was preceded in death by her husband David in 1991.

She is survived by her friends from the Horn Foundation, Heritage Fellowship Church, neighbors and other life-long friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the Ferncliff Cemetery. A celebration of her life will also be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Heritage Fellowship Church, 105 N. Tecumseh, Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Horn Foundation.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. .
