Arnetta Ann Hale


Arnetta Ann Hale, 78, of Springfield went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday evening, August 15, 2007 with her loving family by her side.

She was born January 25, 1929 in Peach Creek, West Virginia, the daughter of Arnold Newton and Nancy Leona (Adkins) Beckett. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church and worked at Victory Lanes in the nursery and Johnson Group Home for many years. "Grandma" will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her two daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Gunter and Tamara and Hargus Wells Sr. all of Springfield; two sisters and brother-in-law, Oretha Vance of Saint Albans, West Virginia and Nada Jean and Charles Curry of Gallipolis, Ohio; one brother, Ronald Keith Beckett of Cheboygan, Michigan; four grandchildren, William Johnson, Daisy Sue Wells, Hargus Wells Jr. and William Wells; three great-grandchildren, Victoria Delaney, Anna May Springer and Harlee Higgins and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Hale in February of 1976 and brother, Arnold Ray Beckett.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Frank Miesse officiating. Burial will follow in the Vale Cemetery.
