William L. Givens


William "Bill" L. Givens, 66, of Enon, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 20, 2008 at Springfield Regional Medical Center - East High Campus.

He was born June 24, 1942 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of the late Grant and Georgia (Champ) Givens. He retired from Ameritech in 1994 after thirty years of service. He was currently employed part time at Locust Hills Golf Club. Bill proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps where he was a member of VMF-251 in Beaufort, South Carolina.

Bill is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Martha J. (Corry); two daughters and son-in-law, Kristy of Columbus, Laura and Ed Hennigan; two grandchildren, Lindsey and Mitchell Hennigan all of South Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday September 27, 2008 in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where memorial service will follow at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 63445, Cincinnati, Ohio 45263-4445.
