Robert E. Grueser


Robert E. Grueser died peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 16, 2008.

He was born on January 6, 1922 in Pomeroy, Ohio to the late Lewis and Ethel Grueser.

United States veteran of WWII; Robert served in the Army/Air Force. He retired from the Vulcan Tool Company in Dayton, Ohio.

Robert is survived by: his wife, of 62 years, Frieda (Vatter) Grueser, sons; Tom (Nancy) Grueser of Donnelsville, Jim (Tarra) Grueser of Cleveland, John (Deb) Grueser of Springfield, grandchildren; Nick, Carrie, Sam, Alex, and Ben, brothers; Roy Grueser of Pomeroy, and Gene Grueser of Columbus.

Family to receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME 2425 N. Limestone St. Funeral service 10:30 am Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the St. John's Lutheran Church 27 N. Wittenberg Ave. Springfield, OH., with Rev. John Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Robert's memory to the St. John's Lutheran Church. Family to receive friends one hour prior to the service at church.
