Mark D. Grimm


Mark D. Grimm, 41, of Springfield, passed away Friday, October 3, 2008 in Good Shepherd Village.

He was born January 21, 1967 in Xenia, Ohio the son of Gale Charles and Wilma Irene (Wilson) Grimm. Mark lived at the Mueller Center since 1972 (30 Years) and then moved out in the community with two other roommates in 2002 where he lived for 5 years until he moved to Good Shepherd Village in the fall of 2007. Mark was a very inquisitive, enduring, loving, affectionate, social, stubborn individual. He had a sense of humor and was very well liked by all who came in contact with him.

Mark went to Town and Country School and he attended TAC Industries. Mark was very play full and enjoyed laughing, teasing and chasing staff around. He enjoyed spending time with his special friend John. Mark also enjoyed the holidays and his most favorite of all time is Halloween!! Mark also loved uniforms and or military clothing.

Over the years, Mark participated in mixers and participated in the special recreational activities including Special Olympics motor activities program. He liked watching movies and television (loved Sponge Bob and the Incredible Hulk).

He is survived by two sisters; Deborah L. Henley and Michele L. Puckett and his very dear friend John. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary A. Grimm.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
