Daniel K. Gray


Daniel K. Gray, 56, of Springfield passed away Saturday evening, March 8, 2008 in his residence.

He was born April 20, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of William E. and Donna (Rickards) Gray.

Daniel retired from Navistar in 2004 after 31 years of service and was the owner of City Slickers in Springfield. He was a member of the VFW Post 8673 and 3660 and also a member of the Moose Lodge in Springfield. Daniel will always be remembered and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 24 years, Marie L. (Cavolt) Gray of Springfield; two sisters, Sharon Maine-Schneider of Springfield and Gloria Sherman of Tucson, Arizona; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Thomas and Bonnie Gray of California, Kentucky, Larry Gray of Springfield, William J. and Julie Gray of Springfield, Tim Gray of Springfield and Robert and Lynn Gray of Delaware, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; his two dogs and best friends, Sassie and Tuffy; coworker and good friend, Teresa Conley; good friend, Robert Miller and numerous other friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Daniel's life will be held on Friday evening at 6 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor William Yowler officiating.
