Valentine Feldmanis


Valentine Feldmanis, 80 of Springfield, passed away Sunday February 22, 2009. She was born January 12, 1929 a daughter of Konstatin and Nadezhada (Andruchenko) Ievins in Riga, Latvia.

Valentine was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church. She came to the United States in 1951 and became a U.S. citizen in 1957. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, lots of needlework, baking, classical music, entertaining others and especially gardening with her roses.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Feldmanis; children, Anita (Michael) Behnen, Boris (Pat) Feldmanis and Erik (Leighia) Feldmanis; grandchildren, Adam,Jason, Meghan, Jekab and Emily Feldmanis; great-grandchild, LukeFeldmanis; sister, Irene Rudnytzky.

Visitation will be held from 9AM until time of service at 12PM Wednesday February 25, 2009 in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home with Pastor John Pollock officiating. Interment to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
