Rachel M. Fairchild


Rachel M. Fairchild, 25, of Springfield, died unexpectedly, Sunday morning, October 18, 2009 as the result of an auto accident. She was born in Springfield on June 18, 1984 the daughter of Dallas Fairchild and Shore (Willman) Fairchild. Rachel will be remembered for her loving, caring ways and for her stubborn determination while awaiting a heart transplant.

She is survived by her mother of Woodhaven, Michigan; her father of Springfield; her beloved son, Zavier Wayne Newman; fiancé, Timothy Adams of Springfield; a brother, Dallas Fairchild of Springfield; two sisters, Connie Fairchild of Indiana and Jennifer (Larry) Berro of Taylor, Michigan; grandparents, Robert and Rosalie Alleshouse of Woodhaven, Michigan and Irene Walters of Troy, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Rachel's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Boysel officiating.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

The greatest contribution in her memory would be that you become an organ donor.
