Morris "Pete" Forbeck


Morris "Pete" Forbeck, 89, of Springfield, died Thursday afternoon, June 28, 2007 in his residence.

He was born in Clark County on July 15, 1917 the son of Charles E. and Clara Mae (Young) Forbeck.

Pete owned and operated Forbeck's Inc. for many years. He was a member of St. Andrew's Lodge #619 F. & A.M., Shawnee Chapter #237 Royal Arch Masons, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine, Norris Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and the Springfield Shrine Club.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne (Foster) Forbeck; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two step-daughters, Judy (Paul) Pierce of Urbana and Robyne (Bob) Leach of Belle Center; and a daughter, Anita Ann Smetters of Upper Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Florence L. (Heslep) Forbeck; a sister, Mary Irene Forbeck; and a brother, Edwin L. Forbeck.

In accordance with Pete's wishes, no services will be observed.

The LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
