Dorothy M. Ferguson


Dorothy M. Ferguson, 87, of Springfield, died at 2:50 p.m. Sunday January 20, 2008 in Community Hospital.

She was born September 10, 1920 in Springfield, OH to Carl W. and Ruth (Barrett) Moots.

Dorothy was formerly employed in the administrative office of the I.O.O.F Home for approximately 20 years. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church.

Dorothy is survived by a son and daughter in law, Stan and Cynthia Erter of Springfield; 3 grandchildren, Doug (Amy) Erter, Christine Casey and Aaron (Mona) Erter; 5 great grandchildren, Khristofer Casey, Benjamin, Abigail, Isabella and Sianna Erter; a brother, Robert M. Moots, Springfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A daughter, Constance Erter and her husband, Vaughn Ferguson, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Conroy Funeral Home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Family will receive friends one-hour prior. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
