Arvetta Ruth Fugate


Arvetta Ruth Fugate, 74, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening, March 28, 2009 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center-East High Campus with her beloved family by her side.

She was born December 27, 1934 in New Boston, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth (Crager) Jones.

Ruth was a very caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved all the children she cared for and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Survivors include the love of her life for 55 years, Frank Fugate; two daughters and one son-in-law, Donna (Clay) Davidson and Debra Pritt; one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis (Theresa) Fugate; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Marge) Jones and Ted (Bonnie) Jones; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and all the children she took care of.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ode Mae Crissinger and Helen Channels and brother, Robert L. Jones.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
