Raymond Eric Elder

Raymond Eric "Ray" Elder, 36 of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008 in his residence.

He was born on June 30, 1971 in Springfield the son of John and Patty (Knisley) Elder.

Ray graduated from Springfield North High School Class of 1990.

He is survived by his parents, one brother, Howard Sothard Jr. of Springfield, two sisters, Amy Elder of Springfield, and Betsy Elder of Columbus; nephew, Cory Sothard of Springfield; maternal grandmother, Martha Knisley of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond Knisley, and cousin, Melissa Sue Sowder.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1834, Merrifield, VA 22116-8034 or the Springfield Paramedics Association.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
