Betty Joyce Evans


Betty Joyce Evans, 65 of Springfield passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 in her residence. She was born in Pineville, KY on May 11, 1943, the daughter of Bobby Lee and Dora Ellen Webb.

Betty retired as a cook from Whispering Pines Care Center. In her spare time she loved arranging flowers.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband David F. Evans, two brothers Gusty and Alfred Webb, and one sister Polly Holcomb.

Betty has left to cherish her memory two daughters Mary Holland and Kimberly (Howard) Holland, one son Davis Michael (Tina) Evans all of Springfield, one sister Novella Wolfe of Dayton, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her best friend Mildred McKenney, someone who was like a daughter Tammy Peck, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday April 4, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home with Pastor Joe Dillard officiating. Family and friends may call two hours prior to services. Burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are requested to the American Heart or Lung Associations.
