Steven A. Donaldson


Steven A. Donaldson, 46 of Springfield passed away Friday morning, January 4, 2008 in the Mercy Medical Center.

He was born June 20, 1961, in Urbana, the son of Robert C. and Betsy (Tilton) Donaldson.

Steve was a graduate of Shawnee High School and JVS. He enjoyed dirt bikes, cars and working with metal, there was nothing Steve could not make. He worked for Tilton Trucking as a truck driver for 12 years and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Steve will always be remembered as a very caring and loving son, father, brother and grandpa.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Betsy and Larry Donaldson of Springfield; father, Robert C. Donaldson of Springfield; one daughter, Heather Donaldson of Springfield; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Ashleigh Donaldson and Corey Donaldson all of Springfield; grandmother, Thora Donaldson of Westlake, Louisiana; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Kim Cole of Columbus, Christy Turner of Sulphur, Louisiana, Angel and Burley Fontenot of Santa Fe, Texas and Mandie and Brandon McDaniel of Springfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Lynn Donaldson of Springfield; one grandson, Bryson Donaldson; numerous nieces and nephews and a very special aunt and uncle, Judy and Duke Tilton of Springfield.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Ben Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
