Paul E. Dennis Sr.
Paul E. Dennis Sr, 89, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in Eaglewood Care Center.
He was born on February 16, 1919 in Springfield, the son of Naaman and Lucy Bell (Albright) Dennis.
He served our country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Possum Road Church of God. Paul retired from Robbins & Myers after forty years of service and also served as a director of the R & M Credit Union. Paul was a loving and devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Sandra (Zeigler) Dennis, daughter Annette and her son Kason Paul, son and daughter-in-law, Paul Jr. and Andrea and their children, Anthonie Michael, Aubrea Lynn, and Aliyah Charlene; and special son Nathan all of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, friends, and his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and three brothers. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008 from 6-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Possum Rd. Church of God, 1601 W. Possum Rd., Springfield. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.
