Mildred I. Davidson


Mildred I. Davidson left to join her family in their heavenly home on Wednesday evening, November 5, 2008. Mildred was the youngest child born to Estford E. and Clara S. Davidson on April 3, 1923.

She was a member of Highlands United Church of Christ. She graduated from North Hampton High School in 1941 and Miami Jacobs Business College in 1943. Mildred worked for the city of Springfield Income Tax Department for over 32 years. She also worked at Security National Bank for 10 years before her full retirement in 1994.

She is survived by nephews, Larry, Ivan, Randall, and Wayne Davidson and Bruce Henderson; nieces, Linda Heater, Nancy Combs, and Heather Marie Davidson; and special caregiver niece, Bonnie Davis. She also is survived by several great-nieces and nephews and her very special life-long friend, Thelma Streber.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen with whom she resided for 8 years; 2 brothers, Paul and Lester; brother-in-law, John Henderson; and special nephew, Paul.

Special thanks to the people at Eaglewood Care Center for the special care given to her for the past 2 years. She was especially grateful to her caregivers, Geri, Ruth, Joyce, and Rosemary and nurses, Patty, Julie, Christie, and all the others who made her feel special, including Connie, Angel, and Melissa in activities who helped make her stay full of enjoyment.

A celebration of Mildred's life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11 AM with a visitation 1 hour prior at JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, SPRINGFIELD. Burial will follow at Casstown Cemetery, Troy, Ohio at 1 PM.
