Lena Marie Donahue


Lena Marie Donahue, 89, of Thornville, Ohio and formerly of Springfield, died at 4:53 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008, in her residence. She was born in Springfield on August 15, 1919, the daughter of Adam and Margaret (Klein) Steiner.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Buckeye Lake, Ohio, a former member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, an avid bowler and a stenographer in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include her three children, John W. Donahue of Monarch Beach, California, David A. Donahue of Thornville, Mary K. Donahue (Jeff Brown) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Donahue in 1985.

Private services will be held. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
