James Anderson DeMint
James Anderson DeMint, 73, of Springfield, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 in Mt. Carmel Hospital - East in Columbus.
He was born August 7, 1935 in Chillicothe, Ohio, the son of James and Ruth (Angell) DeMint. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Survivors include five daughters, Merry Esther Van Cleave, Joy Lynn Huber, Gloria Jean Clancy, Melody Ann DeMint and Debra Sue Hendricks; son, James David DeMint; two brothers, John and James DeMint; sister, Ruth Driscoll; fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Chester, one sister, Hester, two grandsons, and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Friends may call one hour prior to the time of service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
A memorial reception will follow at Courtyard by Marriott Springfield Downtown, 100 South Fountain Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45502.
