Junior Lee Davis


Junior Lee Davis, 62, of Springfield, went to be with our Lord Sunday January 18, 2009 in his residence after several years battling cancer.

He was born March 12, 1946 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the son of Elzie and Ruby (Moore) Davis.

Survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Betty Lou Davis; three children and six grandchildren which were the love of his life; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Shelly Davis of South Vienna, Aaron and Shannon Davis of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Davis and Mike Mefford of Urbana; grandchildren, Randy Jr., Jessica, Erin, Zachary, Brooklyn and Tanner; mother, Ruby Minton of Ewing, Virginia; sister, Betty Ward of Springfield; brother, Mark and Melissa Minton of Ewing, Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles he loved so dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elzie Davis.

Junior was a friend to everyone that knew him. He would listen and take time to care. He loved the Lord and his family with such love that it showed everyday. He will be greatly missed and loved by everyone that knew him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday January 22, 2009, with Pastor Buck McIntosh officiating.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
