Douglas M. Doyle


Douglas "Doug" M. Doyle, 43, of Springfield died at 8:02 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in his residence. He was born November 24, 1965 in Springfield the son of F. Eileen (Harris) Ehrle.

His career in insurance covered twenty-five years having worked for Credit Life, Foley Benefit, Summit Insurance and was currently employed by Caresource as Director of Enrollment Services. He was very knowledgeable and well respected in his field. Through out his career he has had the opportunity to make and maintain many relationships. While working full time he was able to obtain his bachelors degree in business management from Bluffton University and was currently pursuing his masters degree from the University. Doug enjoyed traveling with his family to many wonderful places. A few of his favorite destinations were Alaska, Hawaii and LasVegas. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends watching football especially the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Survivors include his wife Deborah "Debbie" (Burkhardt) Doyle, son and daughter-in-law Taylor and Dee Doyle, two sisters, Deborah (Gary) Myers and Donna Cultice all of Springfield and several nieces and nephews including Stacie Taylor also special friends Theresa and Darrin Sheeley all of Springfield.

His mother preceded him in death in 2005.

A special thanks to the OSU doctors and Hospice for all the wonderful care and support they gave Doug during his battle with cancer. He became an inspiration to all who knew him for he always was able to keep a positive out look and his sense of humor during very trying times.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Smith officiating. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice.
