Noel Patrick Coles, Sr.


Noel Patrick Coles, Sr., 65, passed away on January 17, 2009, in JFK Hospital, West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born in El Paso, Texas, the oldest of five children, November 19, 1943 to Haven and the late Otto Coles.

In his early childhood, the Coles family moved to Norwood, Ohio. After graduating high school, Noel served with honorable service in the US Marine Corps from 1961 to 1965. During his service he was assigned to the USS Boxer and served more than one year of foriegn service during the Veitnam Conflict. After the Marine Corps, he moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1966, where he worked at Roadway Express until his retirement.

Noel was survied by his three Daughters, Christine Coles of Norfolk VA, Laura Franklin of Okinawa, Japan and Edie Volz of Medway, Ohio, as well as his Son, Noel P. Coles, Jr., of Springfield, Ohio. He was a loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren: Brittany, Dawnielle, Noel, Larissa , the late Trenton, the late Alexis, Shaina, Madelyn, Miranda, David, and Kennedy. Also, his niece, Candice, nephews, Jeffery and Andrew and other many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded by his mother, Haven Coles of Cinncinati, Ohio and three sisters, Sherry, Kathy and Mary and a brother, John.

Noel's memorial service will be held at Lake Avenue Christian Church on Lake Avenue in New Carlisle, Saturday, January 24th 2009, from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm.
