Fred E. Clay, Jr.


Fred E. Clay, Jr., 74, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in his residence.

He was born October 12, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Fred E. Sr. and Cleo (Baker) Clay.

He was successful in auto sales in Clark County working for several different dealerships. He enjoyed cooking and selling produce.

Fred is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Debra (Clay) and Earl Fitch and Patricia A. Clay; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Douglas Clay, Bruce and Ethel Clay, and Ricki Aaron Clay, all of Springfield; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Roy and Lori Clay of Florida, and Ron and Kitty Clay of South Charleston; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, December 21, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferncliff Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Eric Mounts officiating.

Burial will immediately follow the service.
