Robert L. Butts


Robert L. "Bob" Butts, 71 of Springfield, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at his home. He was born May 8, 1937 in Springfield, OH the son of the late Kenneth R. & Lillian J. (Flack) Butts.

He was a retired employee of International Harvester with 30 years of service; he attended the Woodside Church of Christ in Christian Union, Springfield and was a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM #457, the F.O.E. #397, and the Union Club.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Joyce (Eaton) Butts of Springfield, sons and daughters Robert Butts II and wife Deshurae of New Carlisle, Janice Cumming and husband Eric of New Carlisle, Cheryl Wells and husband Duyane of Springfield, Kenneth Butts and wife Brenda of Springfield, sister Judy Slattery and husband Jack of Springfield, brother Ira Butts and wife Teresa of Huber Heights, 6 grandchildren Tammy Ford and husband Ben of Ft. Myers, FL, Kyle & Skyler Wells both of Springfield, Bobby Butts III of London, Cory Sothard and Stacie Taylor both of Springfield, 2 great grandchildren Ava Ford & Caleb Taylor, several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Please join us in following Bobs wishes with a graveside service held on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vale Cemetery, Springfield with Rev. Jim Weethee officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
