Raymond G. Brewer


Raymond G. "Sparky" Brewer, 52, a lifelong resident of Springfield died Thursday, January 15, 2009 in the emergency room of the Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campus.

He was born July 3, 1956, the son of George E. and Vera Jean (Standard) Brewer. Ray was a very kind man who loved taking care of stray animals.

Sparky was preceded in death by his father and his wife of 24 years Carole E. Brewer, who died April 2008.

He has left to cherish his memories, his mother Vera J. Brewer; son Jon Raymond Brewer; step son Charles Kiser; several cousins including Dea (Jim) Mihaly; uncle Jim Standard; and special friend Teresa Kiley all of Springfield.

Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home with Pastor Mark Martin of Maiden Lane Church of God officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
